'Another!' - Manchester United fans share same concern as Tottenham sack interim boss Cristian Stellini

Tottenham Hotspur have sacked interim manager Christian Stellini following their humiliating 6-1 defeat at Newcastle on Sunday.

Spurs were 5-0 down inside 21 minutes at St James' Park in what has been widely regarded as one of the worst performances in their Premier League history. Stellini took responsibility for deciding to move away from their usual back-five before reverting to it by introducing Davison Sanchez on 23 minutes.

The Italian had been in caretaker charge for less than a month, with Antonio Conte sacked at the end of March, and will be replaced by Ryan Mason for the remainder of the season including Thursday's game against Manchester United.

BREAKING: Spurs sack Stellini ahead of United clash

A statement from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy read: "Cristian will leave his current role along with his coaching staff. Cristian stepped in at a difficult point in our season and I want to thank him for the professional manner in which he and his coaching staff have conducted themselves during such a challenging time. We wish him and his staff well.

"Ryan Mason will take over Head Coach duties with immediate effect. Ryan knows the Club and the players well. We shall update further on his coaching staff in due course."

Mason, who took on a similar roe after Jose Mourinho's departure last season, will welcome United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for his first game this time round. And Reds supporters shared a similar concern that they may enjoy a new manager bounce.
