Another Georgia RB is injured

The Georgia Bulldogs are already without running backs Branson Robinson and Roderick Robinson entering the Tennessee Volunteers game. Georgia may also be without running back Cash Jones (questionable), who has been seen wearing a walking boot following the Ole Miss game.

“We’ll find out when the injury report comes out,” said Georgia football coach Kirby Smart on if Cash Jones is dealing with an injury. The weekly SEC injury report will be announced Wednesday night and updated ahead of the Tennessee game.

Now, Georgia will rely even more heavily on freshman running back Nate Frazier. Frazier is totaled 12 carries, 47 rushing yards and one touchdown against Ole Miss, but he had a pair of fumbles.

Georgia’s top running back, Trevor Etienne (questionable), is fighting through a ribs injury and had just six carries in UGA’s loss to Ole Miss.

The Georgia offensive line needs to do a better job of creating holes for Georgia running backs. However, Georgia is dealing with several offensive line injuries as well. Offensive guards Tate Ratledge and Micah Morris (questionable) are not close to 100%.

“We’ve got guys injured left and right out there,” Smart said about Georgia’s offensive line. “So, we’re running a drill and there’s no guard in there because we’re out of guards.”

Georgia may have to resort to playing wide receiver Dillon Bell at running back some to try to get some production out of the rushing attack.
