Residents across St Helens have shared their fond memories of the "fabulous" annual show that meant "so much to so many people" across the borough.
Every year, generation after generation would head to Sherdley Park, the largest park in St Helens, to attend the St Helens Show, as well as famous faces such as Cilla Black and Geoffrey Hughes. The popular event began in 1968 and continued for decades, before being briefly reinvented in the early 2000s.
People from across St Helens have shared their childhood memories of the St Helens Show and what they loved most about it. The closest thing to the St Helens show that still takes place is The Sherdley Park circus, which took place just last week.
