Anneka Rice caused confusion at Thursday evening's National Television Awards as she called out the wrong winner for the Game Show Award.
Viewers and audience members alike were left scratching their heads for a moment as to who the correct victor for the category was after the 64-year-old presenter made her own Oscars-style blunder.
Taking to the stage late on in the evening, Anneka was handed the task of calling out the Game Show Winner at the OVO Arena, only to mistakenly call out The 1% Club as this year's winner instead of just naming them as a nominee.
She declared: "The 1% Club!" before realising she had read out a nominee and quickly clarified: "No!"
In a bid to smooth out her error, she hurried to reel off the rest of the nominees before the cast of Beat The Chasers were correctly called up to the stage.
The mishap seemingly caught Bradley Walsh by surprise as he was filmed looking unaware his show had won the award and Chaser Jenny Ryan joked on stage she had beaten him to the microphone for the first time.
Viewers were quick to mock Anneka for her blunder and pointed out similarities to the awkward moment La La Land mistakingly won Best Picture at the Oscars in 2017.
Over on Twitter, one user joked: "You had one job Anneka #NTAs," while another jibed: "Not Anneka incorrectly calling The 1% Club the winner #NTAs..."
A third posted a similar response, saying: "Anneka Rice botched the announcement of an award."
However, another was less jovial in their reply as they slammed: "I've just put the #NTAs on and tuned in to car crash presenting. What a disaster #AnnekaRice was. massive switch off."
Despite the error, many of her fans swiftly moved on and decided to instead praise her for her apparent lack of ageing, with one user saying: "@AnnekaRice @OfficialNTAs you haven’t changed in all these years! Still radiant and beautiful."
Another agreed and penned: "Anneka Rice doesn’t age how fabulous does she look Swear she’s never aged #NTA #NTAAwards."
Elsewhere at the ceremony, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were awarded the Best Daytime Show Award despite queue-gate causing their popularity to seemingly plummet in recent weeks.
Their win didn't seem to be appreciated by everyone in attendance, though, with the Loose Women crowd looking far from happy. Panelist Linda Robson looked as though she took the dismay one further too, as fans spotted she seemingly refused to clap the pair when their names were read out.
