Anne Heche’s body was cremated last Thursday and is set to be laid to rest at a Los Angeles cemetery, a death certificate shows.
The certificate doesn’t specify when the actress will be laid to rest but lists the burial location as the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, according to E! News, which obtained the document.
Heche died at age 53 after being badly injured when she crashed her car into a house in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles on Aug. 5.
She was declared brain dead a week after the collision, and was kept on life support for two days until a match was reportedly found for organ donation.
Heche’s death was ruled an accident by the Los Angeles County Deparment Medical Examiner-Coroner, which listed the causes as smoke inhalation, burn injuries and a sternal fracture.
Police confirmed to the Daily News that Heche’s blood was drawn after the crash, and TMZ reported that cocaine was found in her system.
The home that Heche crashed into was destroyed but no other injuries were reported. Lynne Mishele, who was renting the house, shared a supportive message for Heche’s loved ones.
“This entire situation is tragic, and there really are just no words,” Mishele said in an Instagram video. “I’m sending love to everybody involved.”
Heche won a Daytime Emmy in 1991 for the soap opera “Another World,” and was also known for starring in films such as “Donnie Brasco” and “Six Days Seven Nights.”
