Anne Hathaway’s ‘horrible’ Days of Thunder casting criticized

Anne Hathaway Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway are set to star in a sequel to the 1990 sports drama Days of Thunder , scheduled for release in June 2028.
Cruise will reprise his original role as Cole Trickle, while Oscar-winner Hathaway will portray a racecar team owner and engineer.
Original cast member Randy Quaid criticised Hathaway's casting on social media, describing her as a "woke" choice and calling for Nicole Kidman to return instead.
The sequel will be directed by Jonathan Levine, with Cruise producing alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper.
It remains unconfirmed whether any other surviving members of the original 1990 cast will return for the follow-up film.
