Actress Anna Paquin made a public appearance at the New York City premiere of her new film, 'A Bit of Light,' on Wednesday, walking the red carpet with a cane. The 41-year-old star, known for her role in 'The Piano,' seemed to be in good spirits as she posed for photos alongside her husband, Stephen Moyer, who directed the movie.
Paquin, dressed in a black long-sleeve minidress with a mock turtleneck and sharp shoulder pads, accessorized her look with black tights and heels. She held a black walking stick in her right hand, hinting at undisclosed health issues that she has been facing. While the cause of her health struggles remains private, Paquin mentioned that the past two years have been challenging for her.
Despite the difficulties, a source close to the actress expressed optimism about her recovery. Paquin expressed gratitude for having Moyer as a support system and spoke fondly of working with him on the film. The couple, who got married in 2010, share 11-year-old twins, Poppy and Charlie.
This red carpet appearance marked Paquin's return to public events since October 2022 when she attended the Raindance Film Festival. Notably, during that event, she did not require the use of a cane.
