Anna Camp and Griffin Matthews have been announced as the latest additions to the cast of the popular Netflix series 'You' for its upcoming fifth and final season. The news was exclusively revealed by Variety.
In this final season, Camp and Matthews will join the previously announced Madeline Brewer as series regulars. Camp is set to portray the characters of Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, twin sisters-in-law to the main character Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley.
Raegan is described as the cunning and cutthroat CFO of the Lockwood Corp, with ambitions to ascend to power and eliminate any obstacles in her path, even if they happen to be family members. On the other hand, Maddie presents herself as the unserious twin, a socialite with multiple divorces under her belt and a seemingly frivolous job in PR. However, beneath her carefree exterior lies a skilled manipulator.
Matthews will take on the role of Teddy Lockwood, the snarky yet loyal brother-in-law of Joe Goldberg. Teddy is portrayed as a confidante who has never quite been fully embraced by the Lockwood family, bringing a sense of authenticity and empathy to a family that struggles with such concepts.
Anna Camp is a well-known actress with a diverse range of roles in both television and film. Her past credits include popular shows like 'True Blood,' 'The Mindy Project,' and 'Mad Men,' as well as prominent roles in films such as the 'Pitch Perfect' series, 'The Help,' and 'The Lovebirds.'
Griffin Matthews, on the other hand, has recently appeared in Season 4 of 'Genius' and has starred in series like 'The Flight Attendant' and 'She-Hulk.' His previous work includes roles in 'Dear White People' and 'Ballers.'
'You' Season 5, based on the book by Caroline Kepnes, is currently without a confirmed premiere date. The show was developed for television by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti, with Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo serving as showrunners and executive producers for the upcoming season.
The production boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers, including Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo, and Marcos Siega. Warner Bros. Television is the studio behind the series.
