Ann Widdecombe died after blunt force injury to the head, court hears

ANN Widdecombe died after she was hit on the head with a hammer 21 times at her home in Devon, prosecutors have told Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

The former MP and MEP was found with “visible injuries” at her home in Haytor on Dartmoor, Devon, on July 9, a brief hearing at Exeter Coroner’s Court heard on Tuesday.
