It’s truly a novelist’s worst nightmare – losing a manuscript of a new book or work-in-progress.

Now crime writer Ann Cleeves is experiencing just that – the award-winning novelist is appealing for help after losing a laptop containing the draft of half her next book in a blizzard in Shetland.
