President Donald Trump is facing fresh criticism from some repeat supporters in Alaska as petrol prices stay above $5 (£3.78) a gallon. The backlash comes ahead of the 3 November midterms, with several three-time Trump voters telling MS NOW that fuel costs are squeezing household budgets.

Trump carried Alaska in 2016, 2020 and 2024. During the 2024 campaign, he repeatedly pledged to cut energy prices in half within 12 months of taking office. The interviews offer a snapshot of dissatisfaction among some longtime supporters, but they do not establish a broader statewide revolt.
