There's something about Christmas chocolate. Whether it's a tub of your favourites, a selection box or the after dinner mints that seem to only appear on your table once a year.
Well, while the sweet-toothed among us may now be drooling, B&M shoppers are raging at the price of one selection box of their favourite Italian brand of confectionery that is being sold in shops. After the retailer posted a picture of a Kinder Hamper with the price clearly displayed on the packaging, shoppers soon expressed their thoughts, and it wasn't good news for the store.
Alongside the image of the chocolate selection, the store wrote: "EXCLUSIVE!! This Kinder Hamper contains all your favourites including Bueno Mini, Happy Hippo & Kinder bars! Be original, be #Bueno!" The store added: "WHO fancies this?!"

The B&M sticker on the box showed the price - £10. Shoppers jumped straight on to the post to express what they thought. One person exclaimed: "These were only £5 last year." To which someone replied: "£5 would be more reasonable!" Another queried the historic price but agreed that £10 this year was steep. They wrote: "Was only £8 last year. Can get 2 tins of quality street for that price."
Another said: "There’s like £5/£6 worth of choccy there." This gained the reply "rip off". Someone else added: "Individually, wouldn't these come to much less? Hmm..." And another raged: "£10 ?? No way !!!! Got it last year for £8....plus there's hardly any sweets in it for £10."
Comments continued: "Actually in shock yous are charging £10 for this". And: "As much as I love chocolate, there are more essential things to spend £10 on."
More than 3,000 people reacted to the post with 135 adding their comment or tagging friends. However, despite the price, many were still left hankering after the chocolate delight. "Yum," said one person. Another added: "Santa if you’re reading this I would like this very much." A third said: "Kinder paradise!".
And as the coveted chocolate had people drooling, the comments kept coming. "It's what dreams are made of," said another. "Want one of these for Christmas ". And while some complained about the price, others found their own way to enjoy a Kinder selection. "Looks lush but no way am I spending £10 on that, will make my own," said one shopper.
