Anger in Nottinghamshire village over 'crazy' speeding on 'racetrack' road

Neighbours living next to a "racetrack" road where motorists drive at a "crazy" speed have spoken out over their fears. The community living on Kimberley Road in Nuthall said they often see motorbikes doing tricks and racing at weekends, while families say that noise can be a problem in the evening.

It comes as Nottinghamshire Police have introduced static checkpoints at several locations across Nuthall to tackle speeding. Some don't think that's enough though. Derek White, who has lived in the area for 16 years, said: "The electric signs are more like a challenge to these drivers.

"They race down this road at 60 miles an hour. You can see people on motorbikes, ten of them, racing down the road, even doing tricks.
