Angela Griffin, Adam Thomas and Katie Griffiths are to return to Waterloo Road.
The three popular cast members will be back in their original roles, as the BBC show returns later this year on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Filming is set to begin in Manchester very soon, with episodes airing later this year.
Angela will return as much-loved teacher Kim Campbell, who has since had a promotion to Headteacher of the school, whilst Adam will make his return as Donte Charles and Katie will reprise her role as Chlo Charles.
In first look images, ahead of filming starting, the trio excitedly look over their scripts as they prepare to return to their roles.
Speaking about her role, Angela said: "I'm really honoured to be joining the new series of Waterloo Road. It is exciting to be stepping back into Kim’s shoes and I can’t wait to explore her life, character and how she has evolved since we last met her.
"The writers have some amazing storylines planned and I’m looking forward to welcoming viewers back to Waterloo Road."
Whilst Adam added: "I’m so excited to go back to where it all started! Waterloo Road was a huge part of my life and career so to go back 15 years later is a dream come true. I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to get back to acting and doing what I love! I can’t wait to see some old faces and some new. I know this series is going to be the best one yet."
"I am incredibly excited to be returning to Waterloo Road - loved by all who make and watch it! Chlo was my first professional acting role, and I feel so lucky to be part of the show again. I can't wait to see what stories unfold!" Katie shared.
Waterloo Road aired on the BBC between 2006 and 2015, becoming one of the UK's most popular long-running TV dramas.
It's return was confirmed back in September last year, leaving fans thrilled.
A tweet posted from the official Waterloo Road account read: "Psst. We've heard a rumour going around school" alongside a snap of a piece of paper. "Brand new Waterloo Road coming soon!" was scrawled on the image.
Fans rushed to social media at the time to celebrate the good news, with one writing: "Ahhh best news!"
A second added: "So are we seeing Donte Charles @adamthomas21 as a teacher or a dad?? & @chelseehealey Janeece Bryant as the receptionist??" whilst another replied: " @WaterlooRoad NEED Grantly back."
