‘Angel’ alum J. August Richards returns to the fangs with ‘Vampire Academy’

“Vampire Academy” star J. August Richards finally gets to show his fangs.

Best known for playing rogue human vampire hunter Gunn on “Angel,” Richards is on the other side of the table this time, playing a royal vampire, Victor Dashkov, in the Peacock YA series that premiered this week.

“In the back of my mind, I always had a feeling that I would return to the genre and so I’m so happy to be doing it,” the 49-year-old Maryland native told the Daily News.
