Celtic are braced for an approach from Tottenham Hotspur for their head coach Ange Postecoglou.
According to reports, Postecoglou is due to speak with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy on Monday to thrash out terms over a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Postecoglou, according to the Daily Record, is 'edging closer' to becoming Antonio Conte's replacement at Spurs but has to navigate a Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.
If the Hoops win at Hampden Park, then Celtic will have won their fifth trophy in two seasons since Postecoglou joined the club from the Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos. The Australian has won admirers from beyond Scotland for the brand of possession-based attacking football he has brought to Celtic, who were coming off a poor 2020/21 season in which they finished 25 points behind bitter rivals Rangers.

Levy, meanwhile, is looking to bring in a replacement for Conte, who left Spurs in March with Ryan Mason seeing out the season as a caretaker manager for the second time. Julian Nagelsmann has been tipped to join Spurs but the former Bayern Munich boss is now out of the running, while ex-Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers has also been mentioned as a potential target.
Celtic fans are fearing the worst with Postecoglou now odds-on to join Spurs, but some supporters think the 57 year-old may be staying put in Glasgow if the club's social media content is anything to go by. A batch of training pictures were released from Celtic's Lennoxtown Training Complex, with a beaming Postecoglou front and centre.
"We keep posting Ange content...surely he’s not leaving," one Bhoys fan said on social media while another added: "They would have taken hundreds of pictures at training and decide to lead with a picture of Ange smiling." "That’s not the smile of a man who’s leaving," a third Celtic supporter said.
"You know what you are doing," another added while a fifth Celtic fan said: "See he's happy. Now leave him alone."
