Ange Postecoglou has delivered his first message as Tottenham manager as he aims to restore the values and traditions of the EPL side.
The former Celtic boss made the move south of the border after two hugely successful seasons in Glasgow. He signed off in perfect fashion by landing a domestic Treble following victory over Inverness at Hampden in his final game. That made it five trophies from six after a double in his debut campaign with the 57-year-old a huge hit with the fans.
His work in the transfer market for the Scottish champions was also widely praised with the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate, Matt O'Riley and more all arriving at the club under his watch.
But it's now a new challenge for the former Hoops gaffer as he looks to get Spurs back into Champions League contention and challenging for silverware. In his first address to his new fan base, he told the Tottenham club website: "Hi everyone, it’s great to finally get started as manager of this great football club. I’m really looking forward to our task ahead.
“I think it’s an exciting opportunity for us to now set off in a new direction, play football and create an environment that embodies the values and traditions of this fantastic football club.
“Hopefully it’s a team you can all be proud of and more importantly get excited by. I can assure you that right through pre-season we won’t leave any stone unturned. Myself, the staff and the player to make sure when the league comes around you’ll all be as excited as I am by the season ahead.
“I really look forward to seeing everyone at the stadium and in particular our first home game and look forward to the journey ahead.”
