Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has warned Callum McGregor faces an extended absence after his injury blow against Alloa.
The skipper was forced off with a facial injury in the first half of the Scottish Cup tie and wasn't the only casualty on the night.
Winger Liel Abada limped off with an ankle injury and new signing Yosuke Ideguchi couldn't continue after a wild challenge that caught him high.
And while the latter two may be fine for the upcoming run of fixtures, including a showdown with Rangers on February 2, the Celtic boss offered a gloomy prognosis on his captain.
A downcast Postecoglou told Premier Sports: "The main thing is we got through, it wasn't a great night for us overall.
"We played OK and probably should have put them away earlier but the disappointing thing is we've got a couple of significant injuries.
"I think Liel and hopefully Yosuke will be alright but Callum's obviously quite significant so we'll just have to wait and see."
Many felt Mouhamed Niang should have seen red for his tackle on Ideguchi, but the Celtic boss wasn't keen to discuss the flashpoint.
Postecoglou said: "The referee deals with that, I'm just disappointed with the injuries we got."
