Ange Postecoglou raid on Celtic for likes of Kyogo and Reo Hatate would be a WRONG move says pundit

Alan Hutton reckons it would be a WRONG move for Ange Postecoglou to raid Celtic for some of his former top stars.

The former Hoops gaffer has completed his move to Tottenham in the English Premier League after two hugely successful seasons in Glasgow. He ended his time at the club on the ultimate high by lifting the Scottish Cup at Hampden to complete a domestic Treble and make it five trophies from a possible six during his time in charge.

He's now in the hot seat in North London and has already made his first address to the supporters of his new club and promised to leave 'no stone unturned'. David Raya of Brentford has been reported as the first signing who will arrive under the watch of the 57-year-old at Spurs but reports have already linked Kyogo Furuhashi with Ange 'ready' to spark' a bidding war with clubs in Europe's top five leagues keen.

However, former Rangers star and pundit Hutton would be very surprised if the likes of Celtic's top scorer, Reo Hatate or Matt O'Riley joined him.

He told Football Insider: “I have read things about Kyogo, I really think Hatate has had an excellent season, there has been rumours about O’Riley moving.

“I think it would be a wrong move if he was to go and sign them.

“There are some fans that are not sure about the appointment because of where he has come from and what he has done in the past.

“So, if you start bringing down Celtic players, and that is no disrespect to any of them, people would be saying what is going on here because they are looking at a different level of player.

“This is a football team that is chasing Champions League in the toughest league in the world.

“Yes there could be eyes on them for different clubs down south. But I would be surprised if Ange signs and gets a couple of players to join him.“
