Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is reportedly a "strong contender" to land the Brighton job despite the Seagulls talks with Roberto De Zerbi.
Graham Potter was unveiled as Thomas Tuchel's replacement at Chelsea earlier this week with speculation touting the Celtic Park head coach as a potential successor at the Amex after his instant success in Glasgow's east end. Reports earlier this week suggested that the Australian was unlikely to be interested in the English Premier League job, however The Sunday Times state that Brighton remain keen on Postecoglou.
It is reported that he remains under "serious consideration" as a replacement for Potter, with Postecoglou on a long-list of candidates Brighton are carrying out due diligence on. It is noted that Brighton "have been impressed by the feedback" on the 57-year-old due to his calmness off the pitch as well as his success on it, having lifted the Scottish Premiership title and Premier Sports Cup during his debut campaign with Celtic.
Brighton's higher-ups have also noted his success rate with signings, as well as his achievements without his own backroom team. As it stands, former Shakhtar Donesk boss De Zerbi appears to be the frontrunner for the hot seat.
Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen is also reportedly among the top contenders for the job. Brighton landed a £21million payout from Stamford Bridge following Potter's appointment.
