Pep Guardiola has labelled Ange Postecoglou an 'exceptional manager' as he welcomed the new Tottenham boss to the English Premier League.
The former Celtic gaffer has officially been named Antonio Conte's successor in North London after months of searching for a permanent manager to take over the top job. He's put pen to paper on a four-year deal and will officially join on July 1.
It's been a whirlwind weekend for the 57-year-old who lifted the Scottish Cup at Hampden with the Hoops against Inverness to complete a domestic Treble and land the one trophy that escaped his clutches last season. His League Cup success over Rangers and Scottish Premiership triumph this term - like last year - made it five trophies out of six in his reign.

He's now in the richest league in the world with the big task of transforming the fortunes of Spurs. They finished eighth in the league last season so will not be playing European football this season. The task will be to get back to the Champions League with the fanbase also craving trophy success. He will also be doing all he can to convince Harry Kane to buy into his ideas and remain at the club with his contract up next summer.
But Postecoglou has a huge fan in managerial superstar Guardiola who took time out of his Manchester City build-up the Champions League Final to send him his well wishes.
Pep said: "Another exceptional manager is coming.
"I was lucky to meet him in Tokyo years ago when he was manager of Yokohama, one of the other clubs in the City Football Group, and we had an interesting chat.
"He’s done an incredible job at Glasgow Celtic and will do an incredible job at Spurs."
