Ange Postecoglou hails Joe Hart as Celtic boss left pleased with Rangers draw

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou insists was pleased his side got out of the final Old Firm derby of the season with a point.

And he urged them to go on and clinch the title after hailing resilience of the team and the performance of Joe Hart in particular.

Celtic had led through Jota before Fashion Sakala equalised for Rangers in the second half and it means Celtic's title party is delayed for a couple of weeks.

Hart produced a stunning from Scott Arfield in the second half while Sakala hit the post when he was one-on-one with the Celtic keeper late on.

He told Sky Sports: “It was a cracking game. It was pretty tight and tense and both teams had chances to get more goals.

“Ultimately I thought it was a good contest between two good teams and pleased we got a draw out of it.

“We had the chances and didn’t take them to get the second and third. They stayed in it and had nothing to lose so threw men forward and put us under pressure.

“We dealt with it okay but it became difficult at times.

“Joe Hart hasn’t made many saves this year but he was outstanding today and that’s why we brought him to the football club.

“When we had the ascendancy we didn’t take our chances.

“We showed great resilience and didn’t get beaten which is the most important thing.

"Three games to go and we’re in a good spot. Onto the next game and put on a strong performance and hope we get a little bit closer."
