As the dust settles on another Premiership campaign, the future of Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is now front and centre of the Hotline debate.
One caller has already placed him in the Tottenham hotseat negotiating with Harry Kane. Henry McCoy emailed: "Ange Postecoglou should have a long hard think about any Spurs offer as he could suffer the same fate as Steven Gerrard. He will need about £300million to spend as might be no Kane and the club needs a clear-out so it's a big ask for Ange to start from the basics in that league."
Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: "It looks like it's decision time for the Celtic management team. Postecoglou must choose between Wolves and Tottenham and John Kennedy will have to weigh up options from Burger King and McDonalds." George Wilson, West Sussex, emailed: "Many footballers become footballers because they don’t have the brains to do anything else. Greg Taylor is telling us Celtic will prepare for Inverness the same as if they were playing Real Madrid whom they lost 3-0 and 5-1 to last season. It's another timely reminder Ange should take the opportunity to move to a big club rather than face yet another season of European humiliation."
Martin McGarrigle, London, messaged: "I'd like to revisit caller Allan Flett's comment that Big Ange is ‘tactically inept’ now the season is almost done and dusted with a world record Treble incoming. Celtic have won the League Cup, the league and the Scottish Cup Final is a formality. Only a very confident person would bet against a shellacking. If this is Ange tactically inept, imagine him when he’s tactically astute? Delusion will only get you so far."
Eddie Easson, Fife, emailed: "What planet has Hugh Keevins been visiting recently? He said Rangers are finishing the season on a high but he needs to get a grip. No trophies for a team of Rangers stature is a disastrous season and Michael Beale is still work in progress a novice manager who fires from the lip. One victory over a weakened Celtic team won’t fool the support."
Tam Bain, Desborough, said: "Aberdeen conceded more goals away from home than any other team in the league and scored less away from home than nine other teams. I hope Barry Robson is given money to reverse these stats by scoring more and making an even stronger defence."
Robert Pender, emailed: "Once again Scotland has been let down by football fans during the Celtic celebrations with the utter mess the fans left the city in. It is time the offenders were made to pay for the clean up and not the Glasgow ratepayers."
Andrew Adams, Kirkcaldy, questioned: "Why are Celtic supporters slagging off Ross McCrorie and Graeme Shinnie? Would they be happy giving Rangers a guard of honour? It's a sad day if all we have to worry about is daft things like that. Let's get real, Rangers and Celtic don't like each other, they haven't for over a century, so let's get back to the good old days where we don't like you and you don't like us, simples."
Bud Hay, Dumfries, emailed: "Well done to Celtic ladies winning the Scottish Cup, now it's the champions who do the Treble. I see Michael Beale can't wait for next season so bring it on. Come on the Hoops."
Neil Renton, Edinburgh, emailed: "After the disgraceful scenes when one of the Hearts fans attacked Hibs player Marijan Cabraja, the club should be docked three points. That would teach them."
Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, emailed: "It's time to scrap the safety net playoff for Premiership teams that finish second bottom and play second top of the Championship. Partick Thistle should automatically be promoted and Ross County relegated. It's just a racket to safeguard the top table so restructure is a must and also extend the league to sixteen teams and make it more competitive by ending the playoffs with two up and two down."
Gary Smith Saltcoats, said: "I have never witnessed in my life the attitude of Rangers women players when they were given their medals around their neck after the Scottish Cup Final as they ripped them off immediately. It was very unsporting and lacked integrity and said a lot about a club that Scotland can do without."
