Andy Walker believes it's Fashion Sakala who Celtic will be on the lookout for when Rangers look to dethrone them in the Viaplay Cup final.
The focus is on the Premiership title race at present after a busy January transfer window for both clubs, with Ange Postecoglou's champions out in front by nine points. They are in pole position to become Premiership kings once again but Michael Beale's challengers will have a chance to strip the League Cup holders of said title in that competition when facing off against them at Hampden later this month.
Unbeaten since Beale became boss, attacker Sakala has been one man who has rose to form in the Rangers forward line. And speaking on Go Radio, former Celtic man Walker reckons he could be a key threat in the Mount Florida showdown. He explained: "Anyone with his pace will cause problems and will be spoke about in how to nullify that threat.
"I understand that his end product is sometimes not as productive as his pace and getting himself into good positions. But Celtic need to be wary of the threat he poses."
Another who could come into the showpiece fold is Todd Cantwell, a winter arrival from Norwich City. Walker warns him that he can't expect an easy ride after swapping England's Championship for the top flight in Scotland.
He added: "I remember him as a really good player and played just in that 10 position, and was outstanding at Norwich for a while. He's lost his way a bit and needs to start playing some regular football.
"He needs to look at Scottish football as a challenge. It's a mistake if you think you'll get an easy time up here."
