Andy Walker believes Ange Postecoglou would find it hard to turn down the Tottenham job if the EPL club comes calling.
The Celtic boss has impressed chairman Daniel Levy as he continues his search for a permanent successor for Antonio Conte with Spurs reported to be planning to step up their interest in the 57-year-old following the Scottish Cup Final with Inverness as the Hoops bid to end the season with a domestic Treble.
Sky Sports News claim the Aussie is now the 'preferred candidate' for the North London outfit. A rebuild will be required at the club after an eighth place finish this season meaning no European football next term. The opportunity to get them back to their best and challenging for Champions League football and winning a trophy is an 'exciting' prospect according to pundit Walker branding the EPL the 'richest in the world'.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Walker said: "Look, I don't know what motivates Ange Postecoglou - I'm sure it's the whole package. But just in a general sense, he will clearly get...I don't know what times his (Celtic) salary but it will dwarf what his salary is here at Celtic Park.
"And I'm not saying Spurs is a bigger club, but my goodness, it's a bigger league and the richest in the world.
"The opportunity to do something special at Spurs, I think any manager that's in speculation about getting the job would be excited at being the one to turn Spurs around, get them into the Champions League and get them winning a trophy again.
"It would be hard to say no."
