Andy Serkis and Woody Harrelson are set to star in the upcoming WWII psychological thriller, 'The Man with the Miraculous Hands,' directed by Oren Moverman. The film, based on a true story, is set in 1939 and follows Harrelson's character, Felix Kersten, a renowned medical masseuse who becomes the personal physician to Heinrich Himmler, played by Serkis, the head of Hitler's SS.
As the war unfolds and Himmler's health deteriorates, Kersten finds himself in a unique position to influence decision-making within the Third Reich. Using his medical skills as a weapon, Kersten attempts to turn Himmler against Hitler and ultimately bring an end to the war.
Produced by Vendôme Group, Jerico Films, and SND, the film will be presented at Cannes for international sales. Philippe Rousselet, Eric Jehelmann, Fabrice Gianfermi, and Jeremy Plager are among the producers involved in the project. Principal photography is scheduled to commence in the Fall.
Additionally, Andy Serkis is set to direct and star in 'Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum,' a new installment in the beloved franchise. Woody Harrelson, known for his recent roles in 'Suncoast' and 'Fly Me To The Moon,' will also appear in the survival thriller 'Last Breath.'
