The Mayor of Greater Manchester has revealed ambitions to take control of all train stations in the city region.
Andy Burnham has accused the railway industry of 'failing' the area and described the five train stations in the city centre as 'embarrassing' to the industry.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, he also said the city centre stations have not seen substantial investment for decades - and argued that other stations need to be more accessible to all.
