Android and iPhone users warned to delete 'malicious' apps that can steal login details

Apple and Android phone owners are being urged to bin certain certain apps as they could potentially steal important personal data.

Facebook has issued a warning after uncovering a data hack linked to more than 400 apps, which appear to have been stealing private login details from smartphones. These specific apps can easily go unrecognised, as they sell themselves as popular services like photo editors, mobile games and VPN services.

Once installed, the scam apps try to access private data by asking users to sign in via their Facebook account, in order to gain access to their features, reports Hull Live.
