Andrew Tate claims he is "more famous" than Jake Paul amid fight call-out

Controversial kickboxer Andrew Tate has claimed he is "more famous" than Jake Paul just days after the YouTube star claimed to "not know" who he is.

Tate, a former world champion kickboxer, has received unprecedented media attention in recent months for his controversial views on women and society. The 35-year-old, who also once appeared on UK reality TV show Big Brother, has previously offered Paul £2.5million for a boxing clash.

Whilst boasting about receiving more Google searches than Paul, Tate labelled himself the "top man in the world" amid his recent spotlight in the media. "This is search terms against Jake Paul," Tate told TheBreadBatch whilst comparing a graph of him and his American rival. "I'm more famous than him, I'm the blue line and he's the red line, this is Google searches. I'm top 'g', I'm the most top man in the world."

Tate also vowed to "destroy" Paul in a fight, stating: "If me and Jake Paul fight, I would destroy him because I'm a professional. He knows I would destroy him and that's fine". Tate would have a size advantage over Paul in a potential fight as he stands at 6'3" compared to his rival at 6'1", but the pair both compete at the same weight (90kg).

Paul has received his fair share of criticism since swapping his YouTube fame to pursue a professional boxing career. 'The Problem Child' has amassed a record of 5-0 and looks for his sixth win next month against Hasim Rahman Jr. Tate admitted he respects Paul for "putting his reputation on the line" by challenging himself in boxing despite already being a successful internet star.

"When I first made that video is when he was calling out Conor McGregor and I thought he was just being disrespectful and that he was a clown," Tate said of his original fight offer to Paul. "It turns out that he's taking his boxing career quite seriously. He's training and getting in the ring when he doesn't have to get in the ring.

"He's got enough money and he doesn't have to do this. He's putting his reputation on the line. I know that takes balls and I respect him for it. I understand now that's he's very serious about his boxing career and they have brought back that old school [approach] of 'have you got beef, let's fight'. I love that."
