Andrew Tate accused of having sex with 15-year-old as he faces new charges in Romania

Romanian prosecutors are seeking to remand misogynist influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan in custody over allegations of trafficking and sex with children.

The case, involving a total of 35 alleged victims, is separate from previous charges of human trafficking and rape that the brothers are already awaiting trial for. One victim was reportedly only 15-years-old at the time of the alleged offences.

Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) said that six individuals, both Romanian and foreign nationals, have been detained.

The agency accuses the group of grooming "vulnerable" individuals and forcing them to produce pornographic material for online broadcast.

One foreign national, unnamed in the statement but understood to be Andrew Tate, is accused of coercing a 17-year-old to perform sexual acts for online content and allegedly keeping the $1.5 million profit made.

The same individual reportedly had repeated sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl.

Prosecutors allege the accused made approximately $2.8 million through sexual exploitation. They are also suspected of attempting to intimidate victims and witnesses.

It comes after dozens of masked police officers and forensic personnel in Romania carried out fresh raids on the home of the influencer on Wednesday as he awaits trial.

During Wednesday's 10-hour search of four properties, investigators seized cash, luxury watches, electronics, anddocuments.

Sixteen luxury cars were also impounded. Prosecutors accuse the brothers of purchasing four high-end vehicles and registering them under others' names to conceal illicit earnings.

Andrew Tate, known for his misogynistic views and large online following, dismissed the new allegations as "pathetic" and accused prosecutors of being "desperate" in comments to the BBC on Wednesday night.

He claimed they had "made up a lot" and referred to accusations of "lover-boying" the mother of his children.

The Tate brothers have consistently denied any wrongdoing related to both the previous and new charges. Andrew Tate has referred on Twitter/X to the case against him as some kind of mainstream "conspiracy" to silence him.
