Andrew Marsh, top-70 WR, commits to Michigan Wolverines

Sherrone Moore’s first recruiting class with Michigan picked up a major win on Tuesday. The defending national champions landed a commitment from four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh out of Fulshear, Texas.

Marsh chose Michigan over Colorado, Texas, USC and Washington.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder pass-catcher is ranked as the No. 63 player in the country, the No. 9 wide receiver and No. 13 player out of Texas.

A breakout freshman season put Marsh on the scene as he hauled in 31 receptions for 411 yards and five touchdowns. He followed that up as a sophomore with 53 receptions for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Last season was the best so far in Marsh’s career. He caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Defending champions inching closer to a top-10 class

Prior to his commitment, Michigan held the No. 14 class in the country. His pledge puts them one step closer to the top 10.

Marsh is the fifth top-100 pledge in the group and that third ranked in the top-75.

It’s a group headlined by Ivan Taylor, a four-star cornerback out of Florida who flipped his commitment from Notre Dame in late July.

Marsh is the highest-rated offensive commitment so far in the class. He is followed by Andrew Olesh, a top-100 tight end out of Pennsylvania.
