Andrew Lloyd Webber said he bought a therapy dog after the "appalling" movie adaptation of his Cats musical was released.
The 2019 film, featuring stars such as James Corden, Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, and Idris Elba, was called "improbable and entirely indescribable" and a "collective hallucination" in The Independent's two-star review.
The EGOT-winning composer, who was an executive producer on the movie, told CBS Sunday Morning that he bought himself a Havanese puppy after its release.
“It’s my therapy dog on planes. I just write a note to the airline saying, you know, reason for dog on plane and put ‘Cats movie’. And they always come back saying, ‘No doctor’s certificate required.'”
