Andrew Garfield could "maybe" have dated Amelia Dimoldenberg.
The 41-year-old actor first met Amelia, 30, on the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in November 2022 and the pair have been subject to potential romance rumblings ever since but as he made his long-awaited appearance on her 'Chicken Shop Dates' series, he admitted that there could have been something there had there not been such attention on the situation.
He said: "This is f***** up. The fact that we could have gone on a date at some point, maybe. Take out all the practicalities, and the logic, I believe, maybe, that we could have, without all of this. But it's this. I'm a very private person, in my private life."
Amelia - who found fame interviewing celebrities on her YouTube comedy series - was then asked by Andrew if she would want a "long-term, monogamous" relationship in general and confirmed that she would, but also values her "independence" in life.
She said: "I do, yeah, but I also like my independence and I want to do whatever want. I actually think it's kind of crazy that you're obligated to share a bed forever."
Towards the end of the interview, the 'Spider-Man' star addressed the situation again where he suggested that he and Amelia should spend some time together off-screen.
He said: "I think we’d have a really nice time without the camera. I think we just enjoy each other's company. Or maybe not, f*** it."
She responded: "I think we should be friends."
He replied: "Okay, great. Done."
She said: "Did I just friendzone this situation? Oh, I shouldn't have done that. I don't know what I want! You have my number."
