Andrew Garfield only watched the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer with the sound off, but says it looks "very very cool"

Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Andrew Garfield has shared his verdict on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer – though we'll have to wait a little longer for the former Peter Parker actor to offer up his complete thoughts, since he watched it with the sound off.

"I haven't seen it yet with sound," he told ITN (via Yahoo UK) during a red carpet event for his upcoming fantasy flick The Magic Faraway Tree. "I've seen it without sound, because I was in a makeup chair, and I didn't want to disturb everyone, but it looks cool... very, very cool."

Released on March 18, the exciting first teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees Tom Holland's webslinger struggling with the lonely anonymity Doctor Strange's spell granted him at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. His ex-girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya), has embarked on a new romantic relationship, Jon Bernthal's The Punisher keeps running him over with his truck, and to make matters worse... his superpowers are seriously acting up.

"What is happening to me?" a sweat-covered Peter says in the clip, as he collapses on the floor before waking up in a web-covered cocoon and realizing that his shooters aren't working. With that, he enlists the help of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, who, like everyone else, doesn't have a clue who he is. Looks like the friendly neighborhood hero has his work cut out for him if he's going to defeat Michael Mando's Scorpion...

Also starring Tramell Tillman, Eman Esfandi, Jacob Batalon, and Stranger Things' Sadie Sink, Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into cinemas on July 31. While we wait, check out our guide to all the upcoming Marvel movies or our breakdown on how to watch the Spider-Man movies in order.
