Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has revealed that he wants to seal a permanent switch to Brazilian outfit Flamengo amid ongoing reports linking him with a move to Fulham.
Pereira, who is out of contract at Old Trafford in June 2023, has spent the duration of this season on loan at Flamengo after returning to his homeland last August. The midfielder made an encouraging start to life at the Rio de Janeiro-based club, but his costly error in the Copa Libertadores final defeat to Palmeiras meant that many supporters, plus individuals within the club, changed their outlook on him.
Despite that, he racked up an impressive 53 appearances during his time with Flamengo, scoring eight goals and grabbing three assists. It was widely expected that he would join Flamengo on a permanent deal as a formality, but the club is continuing to debate whether or not to make that decision, despite newly appointed manager Dorival Junior wanting to keep him.
