Outgoing Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has wished newly-appointed manager Daniel Farke 'good luck' ahead of the club's takeover. Radrizzani is soon to depart Elland Road after a six-year association with the club, with EFL approval required on the proposed sale to the 49ers Enterprises.
Farke had been considered the frontrunner for the vacant post with Whites for some time, but was not confirmed as Sam Allardyce's successor until Tuesday. The former Norwich City boss has agreed a four-year contract with United, and will look to add to his two Championship title-winning seasons at Carrow Road as Leeds eye a swift return to the Premier League.
The hard work has already begun for Farke, with pre-season now under way as the squad is set to be reshaped in the wake of relegation. Marc Roca is among a number of Leeds' first-team stars set to leave, with speculation mounting over a switch to Real Betis.
Farke's appointment was technically made on Radrizzani's watch, although Paraag Marathe gave his verdict on the appointment on the club's website. The 46-year-old is said to have impressed the hierarchy with his vision to secure promotion at the first attempt, alongside his track record in the division.
