World-renowned tenor Maestro Andrea Bocelli, whose voice has been said to be the best in the world and whose records have sold over 75 million copies, is returning to AlUla for the fourth time to mesmerize his audience at the award-winning Maraya concert hall as part of the Winter at Tantora Festival.
On his previous visits to AlUla, Bocelli delivered some of his performances between the region’s mountains, with history and his voice coming together to create a dazzling image.
The prestigious Italian artist is known for introducing classical music to modern audiences. Indeed, he does it so well that his name has been on the international pop charts. His 1998 song with Celine Dion, The Prayer, appeared in the animated film Quest for Camelot and was nominated for an Academy Award. He was also nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards a year later.
On his last visit, in April 2021, he gave a deeply emotional performance surrounded by his children on stage at Hegra.
Bocelli says that this performance was a special moment for the family and all the musicians on stage, adding: “To be here and contribute to creating a historic moment in such an inspiring place that is so rich in human history, heritage and culture, that is a truly unforgettable moment.”
With Maraya’s record-breaking 9,740 mirrored panels, the state-of-the-art structure- the largest mirrored building- reflects AlUla’s beauty and is the perfect place for the tenor’s voice.
Tickets sold out soon after being released, with thousands of fans hoping to make unforgettable memories.
