Steph Curry added an important milestone to his already decorated basketball resume.
Following the Golden State Warriors 2022 championship run over the Boston Celtics, the 34-year-old was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player for the first time in his career.
Curry capped off a red-hot run through the NBA Finals with a game-high 34 points on 12-of-21 shooting from the floor with six made triples from long-distance, seven boards and seven assists in Game 6. During the 2022 NBA Finals, Curry averaged 31.2 points on 48.2% shooting from the field and 43.7% shooting from beyond the arc.
Following Curry’s fourth NBA championship in eight years, Andre Iguodala had high praise for his teammate. The Warriors veteran forward said Curry’s performance solidified him as the best point guard of all time.

More than anything, I think Steph. I think he solidified himself today — not even today, his career — as best point guard of all time.
Along with four-time champ and NBA Finals MVP, Curry’s long list of accomplishments include two-time regular-season MVP, all-time leader for most made 3-pointers, eight-time All-Star, four-time All-NBA first team, Western Conference Finals MVP, two-time NBA scoring champ and NBA 75th anniversary team member.
While the conversation surrounding the best point guard in NBA history will always be up for discussion, Curry has cemented himself near the top of the list with other great point guards like Magic Johnson, Oscar Robinson, Jerry West, Isiah Thomas and others.
