Andre Iguodala announces he will make season debut for Warriors on Saturday vs. Magic

Before hosting the Orlando Magic on Saturday at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors learned they will get one of their missing pieces.

On his podcast “Point Forward” with Evan Turner, Andre Iguodala announced he would make his highly anticipated season debut for the Warriors on Saturday against the Magic.

Via Point Forward:

ET, Got some big news Fam. Well, it’s Point Forward Friday. We got 24 hours until I step on the court man. Yeah, it’s a go. You know, officially announcing it on Point Forward. I hope the fan base is excited. I’m a little nervous, but actually, I am also excited you know? I try to play cool, calm and collected all the time, but excited to get there on the court, it’s finally happening. Patience is a virtue and we are finally here.

Iguodala has missed the first 39 games of the regular season for the Warriors. A hip injury has kept the 38-year-old veteran forward from returning to the court.

After winning his fourth NBA title with the Warriors, Iguodala re-signed with the Warriors late in the 2022 offseason and announced it would be his final season in the association.

On the way to a title run in 2022-23, Iguodala played in 31 games, averaging four points on 38% shooting from the floor with 3.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per contest.

The Warriors are slated to host the Magic at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday evening at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
