Andre Fialho will step into the octagon for the third time in three months at UFC 275.
After asking for a quick turnaround, Fialho (16-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will get his wish when he faces Jake Matthews (17-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) on June 11 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
A person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Full Violence was first to report the news.
In less than two months, Fialho notched first-round, Performance of the Night knockouts over Miguel Baeza at UFC on ESPN 34 in April and most recently Cameron VanCamp at UFC 274 earlier this month. UFC 275 will mark his fourth octagon appearance in just five months, keeping him on track to break the promotion’s record for most fights in a year at five, a record shared by multiple fighters.
Matthews will look to rebound from his submission loss to Sean Brady at UFC 259 in March 2021. Prior to that, the 27-year-old Aussie scored three straight wins over Rostem Akman, Emil Meek and Diego Sanchez.
The current UFC 275 lineup includes:
