Chicago Bulls big man Andre Drummond had a dominant performance and then a special moment with his mom after a win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Drummond, who was filling in for injured Chicago center Nikola Vucevic, finished the game with 24 points and 25 rebounds. After the game, he told reporters that he went into the stands to find his mother so he could hug her.
The NBA veteran said that his mother, Christine Cameron, is his “biggest supporter” and that she always encourages him to stay ready for the moment. This was a heartwarming moment that Drummond shared with his mom.

This was the 45th time in his professional career that Drummond had at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in the same game. No other active NBA player has accomplished as much more than 16 times, per Basketball Reference.
Vucevic is expected to miss between seven and 10 days, according to Shams Charania. That means Drummond will have more opportunities to continue a hot streak on the court for the Bulls as a temporary starter.
