TIRUPATI: Tirupati police arrested four ganja smugglers and seized 54 kgs contraband worth Rs.4.8 lakh on Thursday.
Police also seized three mobile phones and a bike from the possession of the accused.
Tirupati SP P Parameswara Reddy told reporters that the special enforcement bureau sleuths attached to the rural police station, acted on specific information and conducted searches at platform no.1 at the Renigunta railway station on Thursday.
Four accused identified as Lepakshi Baba Fakruddin, A Radhika, S Sharibha and Lepakshi Mohammed Arif, were arrested by the special enforcement bureau on charges of smuggling ganja.
