Andhra Pradesh: Rare liver transplantation surgery performed at Manipal Hospital

AMARAVATI: Doctors at Manipal Hospital saved the life of an 8-year old critically ill boy by using an innovative surgical procedure.

According to hospital director, Dr Sudhakar Kantipudi, Sudheer is an 8-year-old boy who had Wilson's related end stage liver disease, with a high sodium MELD (model for end-stage liver disease) score and was severely unwell with high bilirubin and severe growth retardation.
