VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has advised the TDP to follow the preachings of the holy Bible to exalt themselves to win over evil. The actor-turned-politician made key comments on alliances while addressing a meeting with party leaders at headquarters in Mangalagiri.
"The TDP earlier compared an alliance with Jana Sena as one-sided love. They changed their stand after Mahanadu and said that war has become one-sided. They should be clear on their stand," Pawan said.
Quoting from the Bible, Pawan said, "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."
"We were exalted in 2014 for the benefit of the state and it is the TDP's turn to make a gesture," Pawan said.
Responding to the alliance with BJP, Pawan said, "We are in alliance with BJP and we have strong bonds with each other. There is a gap between BJP and Jana Sena due to Covid-19 and we are sorting out the issues now. The top leadership of the BJP is in touch with me and we are regularly discussing an action plan. I welcome BJP national president JP Nadda to Andhra Pradesh. I appeal all our leaders to work along with the BJP on public issues," Pawan said.
Explaining the Jana Sena's options for an alliance, Pawan said, "There are three options in front of us for the 2024 elections. First is Jana Sena and the BJP alliance. Second is Jana Sena, BJP and TDP work together and form a people's government. Third option is Jana Sena going it alone. I'm ready for anything and the party will take a call on an alliance at the appropriate time," Pawan told party leaders.
