AMARAVATI: In a huge relief to municipal school teachers, municipal administration minister Dr Adimulapu Suresh has directed commissioner and director of municipal administration (CDMA) to grant drawing and disbursement officer (DDO) powers to headmasters of municipal high schools. He asked the CDMA to process the file for taking the approval of the finance department. He said that he would take the permission of the chief minister, if required.
Responding to a representation submitted by the Municipal Teachers Federation (MTF) delegation headed by its president S Ramakrishna, the minister said it would be his responsibility to grant the DDO powers.
