VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh high court on Thursday pulled up the officials from municipal administration department for not complying with its orders.
The high court bench headed by Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy observed that they would consider violation of court orders very seriously and advised the advocate general S Sriram to inform all the officials in the state.
The high court summoned director of municipal administration M M Naik, Bhimavaram municipal commissioner M Shyamala and Narsapur sub-collector C Vishnu Charan in a contempt petition.
The bench said that they were not happy with the attitude of the officials. The HC had earlier directed the officials not to constrict compost plant in the place left for public utility at 29th ward in Bhimavaram town. As the works continued even after the directions of the high court, the petitioner filed contempt petition.
