Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer participated as the chief guest at the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ programme held at Lalpuram in Guntur district on November 24.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said the initiative is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of schemes of the Union government, across the country, covering all tribal, rural and urban areas. It’s objective is to reach out to the vulnerable sections of people who are eligible under various schemes, but have not availed of the benefits so far, he said.
The Governor said the campaign has been taken up with the active involvement of various ministries and Departments of the Union government and the State governments. He requested the public representatives, officials and non-officials, to actively participate in the campaign to create awareness among all sections of people, and to motivate them to avail of the benefits.
