The State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has taken certain key decisions, which include early start of agriculture season and approval of A.P. Export Promotion Policy 2022-27 and A.P. Logistics Policy 2022-27.
Briefing the media after the meeting at Velagapudi on Thursday, Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu said the government decided to start the kharif season early by releasing water to the Godavari delta from June 1, Krishna delta and Guntur Channel from June 10, and added that water would be released to the farmers under the ayacut of Somasila, Gandikota, Chitravati, and Brahmam Sagar projects from July 10 and Nagarjuna Sagar from July 15.
He said water would be released to the ayacut farmers of Rayalaseema region under Gorakallu reservoir, Owk, Gandi and SRBC from June 30, and added that these dates were announced in advance so that farmers would be prepared.

Information and Public Relations Minister Ch. Venugopal Krishna said the Cabinet approved the A.P. Export Promotion policy 2022-27 and A.P. Logistics Policy 2022-27. He said it also gave its nod to the bioethanol project of Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) at Sarvepalli in Nellore district. He said nod was also given to creation of 16 additional posts in the Lokayukta.
The Minister further said that a green signal was given for upgrading primary health center to community health centre at Pamarru in Krishna district and for setting up a Government Degree College for women in Pulivendula, along with sanction of 26 teaching and 10 non-teaching posts.
He said the Cabinet gave its consent for mobilising a loan of ₹1,600 crore from the financial institutions for development of agriculture and agricultural marketing activities, including improving connectivity from farmgate to markets, primary processing facilities, rythu bazaars, farmgate infrastructure and facilities in market yards.
He said the Cabinet sanctioned eight deputy manager and 22 assistant manager posts in the State Cooperative Marketing Federation. It also approved the setting up of an Agriculture University at MRR Charitable Trust in the name of Mekapati Goutham Reddy at Udayagiri in Nellore district.
The Minister said the Cabinet further approved release of Matsyakara Bharosa on May 13, YSR Rytu Bharosa on May 16, launch of Animal Ambulance on May 19, distribution of 3,000 tractors and 402 combined harvesters in 4,014 community hiring centres on June 6, YSR Crop Insurance on June 14 and Amma Vodi on June 21.
