VIJAYAWADA: Prakasham district police cracked the mysterious murder case of a realtor and businessman, Achyuta Adinarayana, on Thursday. Seven persons have been arrested in connection with the case.
The arrested were Kanduri Guru Prasad (40), Kanala Venkata Narayana Reddy (39), Polisetti Ashok (33), Jalagiri Rajasekhar (34), Jalagiri Ramakrishna (34), Jagannadham Mastan (30), and Digumarti Lakshmi Narayana (39).
There were civil disputes between Adinarayana and one Subramanyam over 2 acres of land for the past 14 years.
As a solution, elders advised that Adinarayana should take 1.25 acres of land and 75 cents must go to Subrahmanyam. However, Guru Prasad and his partners bought 75 cents of land from Subramanyam.
Adinarayana filed a case following which an order was passed that Guru Prasad and Mastan Reddy had no right to buy or sell the assigned land. Angry, the duo hatched a plan to kill Adinarayana. They hired the other accused persons to assist them in the murder.
