TIRUPATI: Two children who went for swimming in a local water body drowned near Veeraballi village in Annamayya district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Praneeth Kumar (9) and Karthik (8). The parents who became anxious after their children did not return home even after hours, went in search of them. During the search, they spotted the clothes of the children on the shore of the local water body. Following this, they ventured into the waters in search of them and retrieved the bodies of the children. Local police registered a case and are further investigating.
